Happy Life Children's Home - This is a home our church supports in Nairobi, Kenya. It houses around 30 poverty-abandoned babies, giving them a home and a hope - and facilitating their adoptions.
Christian Classics Ethereal Library: This is an outstanding online Christian resource collection. It includes large selections from Wesley, Calvin, Arminius, Luther, Teresa of Avila, Jonathon Edwards, Charles Finney, etc., plus encyclopedias of Christian information and Biblical commentaries. An excellent resource!
National Association of Congregational Christian Churches: This is an umbrella organization of about 400 congregations, including the First Congregational Church. The central office, based out of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, seeks to assist local churches in their ministry. Look on the site to find a church near you!
Conservative Congregational Christian Conference: More popularly known as the "Four C's", this group comprises the largest collection of Conservative Congregationalists in the country. They also offer services to local pastors and churches.
The Congregationalist Magazine: This publication delivers up a variety of articles, mostly by Congregational pastors and laypersons, to encourage the Congregational expressions of the Christian faith.
The Congregational Library: Located at 14 Beacon Street in Boston, this building houses a wealth of information on Congregational history, growth, change, and development.
Manhattan Christian College: This small, private Christian college has been extremely helpful to our church, offering pastoral services in times of need and consultation from various faculty members. They also host pastors' and church leaders' training seminars from time to time.
Promise Keepers: A modern day revival movement among men, this organization has had a powerful ministry in many lives of men from all over, challenging us to spiritual renewal and responsibility. The 1996 clergy conference in Atlanta was especially powerful. And God used a football coach to start it, of all people.
Youth Specialties: A great resource for youth pastors and leaders, this organization provides a variety of publications, writings, and tons of free ideas to assist youth pastors and leaders in their ministry work. There is also a mammoth job bank. For persons interested in getting involved in youth ministry, there are lots of opportunities out there.
Evangelicals for Social Action: This organization encourages churches and other ministries to practice a healthy mix of evangelism and social action combined. It's the best resource for socially-progressive evangelicals who have a heart for helping others. PRISM, their magazine publication, is excellent.
